Choose the hardware and port your stream needs.

Start with the number of viewers, the bitrate delivered to each viewer and whether the server will also transcode media. Every listed port option is unmetered; availability and the final configuration are confirmed before delivery.

Share the expected audience, bitrate, software and preferred port speed. We will check the available hardware and network options.
Plan around peak demand

Start with bitrate, viewers and processing.

The largest processor is not automatically the right choice. A useful estimate begins with the stream you deliver and the busiest audience you expect.
Outgoing capacity

Multiply bitrate by simultaneous viewers.

A stream delivered at 8Mbps to 250 viewers needs roughly 2Gbps of outgoing capacity before allowing room for protocol overhead and traffic peaks.
8Mbps × 250 viewers ≈ 2Gbps
Processing

Decide where transcoding happens.

Serving pre-encoded media and creating several renditions on the server place very different demands on the processor. Tell us which part the server will handle.
Origin delivery ≠ transcoding
Headroom

Leave room for the busiest period.

Plan above the average audience so short peaks, application traffic and future growth do not immediately consume the whole port.
Peak demand + operating room
Built around the workload

One server range, several ways to stream.

Choose the configuration around how media is prepared, stored and delivered—not around a generic promise of being “streaming optimised.”

Live video and events

Use a dedicated server as an ingest, processing or origin point for scheduled broadcasts, continuous channels and live events.

Video-on-demand platforms

Combine SSD or NVMe storage with the port capacity needed to serve an existing media library and its busiest viewing periods.

IPTV delivery

Run IPTV applications on dedicated hardware with a port selected around the channel bitrates and expected simultaneous viewers.

Audio and radio streaming

Host continuous stations, live audio and on-demand catalogues without sharing the server resources with unrelated customers.
What the service includes

Direct control over the server and its network options.

The current range combines dedicated hardware with several unmetered port choices. We confirm the selected configuration and availability before the order is completed.

Dedicated processor, memory and storage

The listed hardware is assigned to your server, giving the streaming application a predictable base instead of shared compute resources.

Unmetered ports from 1Gbps to 20Gbps

Available port speeds depend on the selected plan. The table shows which 1Gbps, 2Gbps, 10Gbps or 20Gbps choices are currently offered.

Full server control

Install and operate your preferred streaming stack with root access, remote power controls, rescue tools and IPMI KVM for maintenance.

Unmanaged by default

Your team manages the operating system and streaming software. If you need ongoing administration, ask about a managed service separately.
Common questions

Questions about dedicated streaming servers

Straightforward answers about capacity, port options, workloads and server management.
What is a dedicated streaming server?
A dedicated streaming server is physical server hardware used to ingest, process, store or deliver live and on-demand media. Its processor, memory, storage and port options can be selected around the streaming workflow and expected audience.
How do I choose the right streaming server?
Start with the delivered bitrate, expected simultaneous viewers and whether the server will transcode media or mainly act as an origin. Those three details help narrow down the required port, processor, memory and storage.
How much port capacity does a video stream need?
Multiply the bitrate delivered to one viewer by the expected number of simultaneous viewers, then leave additional room for overhead and peaks. For example, 8Mbps delivered to 250 viewers is roughly 2Gbps before that headroom is added.
Are the streaming server ports unmetered?
The current streaming plans list unmetered port options from 1Gbps to 20Gbps, depending on the selected configuration. We confirm the final port speed and service details before delivery.
Can I use these servers for IPTV, live video or VOD?
Yes. The server range can be used for IPTV applications, live broadcasts, video-on-demand platforms, audio streaming and related media workloads. Tell us how the media will be processed and delivered so we can help match the configuration.
Are dedicated streaming servers managed or unmanaged?
The servers are unmanaged by default, so your team controls the operating system and streaming software. Managed administration is available separately on request.
Do you offer offshore streaming servers?
Yes. Offshore streaming server options are available with white-label IP space. If the physical location or network allocation is important to the project, ask us to confirm both for the selected configuration before ordering.
Need help sizing the server?
