Need a different 10Gbps configuration?
Share the required processor, memory, storage, traffic model and expected usage. We will check the available standard and custom network options.
Choose the bandwidth model

Port speed and monthly traffic are separate decisions.

A 10Gbps port describes how quickly the server can exchange data with the network. The traffic model determines how much data is included during the billing period.
Metered

Start with a defined traffic allowance.

The Amsterdam plans include 30TB in the displayed price. Choose a larger allowance in the configurator when the expected monthly transfer is higher.
Unmetered

Use the port without a per-TB allowance.

The unmetered plans do not set a monthly transfer allowance. The selected port speed still defines the connection rate, while real throughput depends on the full transfer path.
Full duplex

Use the port in both directions simultaneously.

The listed connections are full duplex, allowing the server to send and receive traffic at the configured port rate at the same time.
What 10Gbps changes

Give demanding transfers more room to move.

A 10Gbps full-duplex port has a theoretical transfer rate of 1.25GB per second in each direction. Real application throughput also depends on routing, protocol overhead, storage, processor load and the remote endpoint.

Large file distribution

Move software packages, media libraries and other large datasets from dedicated hardware when several users or systems need the same files.

Backups and replication

Reduce the network bottleneck during backup windows, storage synchronisation and transfers between infrastructure locations.

Busy platforms and APIs

Give high-traffic applications more network headroom when many concurrent requests, uploads or downloads share the same server port.

Streaming origins

Use a 10Gbps server as an origin or delivery node when the media workflow and expected audience justify the additional port capacity.
Operate the server directly

Dedicated hardware with the controls needed to manage it.

The service is unmanaged by default. Your team controls the operating system and applications, while the client area provides the remote tools needed for routine server operations.

Dedicated processor, memory and storage

The listed physical hardware is assigned to the server, so the processor and memory are not shared with unrelated customer workloads.

10Gbps full-duplex port option

Each configuration on this page can be ordered with a 10Gbps port. The configurator shows the available network choices and their current prices.

Client area and IPMI KVM

Start, stop, restart or reinstall the server, use rescue tools and open IPMI KVM for remote maintenance.

Unmanaged by default

Your team manages the operating system and applications. Managed administration may be available separately by request, depending on the required scope.
Common questions

Questions about 10Gbps dedicated servers

Direct answers about port speed, traffic, pricing, throughput and server management.
What is a 10Gbps dedicated server?
A 10Gbps dedicated server is physical server hardware connected through a network port configured for up to 10 gigabits per second. The processor, memory and storage belong to the selected server, while the traffic allowance depends on the chosen plan.
Does the displayed price include the 10Gbps port?
Yes. Each price on this page includes the 10Gbps port shown for that server.
What is the difference between metered and unmetered 10Gbps bandwidth?
A metered plan includes a defined amount of monthly transfer, such as 30TB. An unmetered plan has no monthly transfer allowance; the selected port speed still defines the connection rate.
Will every transfer reach the full 10Gbps?
Not necessarily. The 10Gbps figure describes the server port rate. End-to-end throughput also depends on routing, protocol overhead, storage performance, processor load and the network capacity of the remote system.
How fast is a 10Gbps connection in megabytes per second?
Ten gigabits per second is a theoretical 1.25 gigabytes per second before protocol overhead and other real-world limits are considered. It should be treated as the port rate, not a guaranteed application transfer result.
Can I configure a 20Gbps port instead?
Selected ST configurations currently show a 20Gbps option in the configurator. Open the relevant server or contact us to confirm current availability and pricing.
Are 10Gbps dedicated servers managed or unmanaged?
The servers are unmanaged by default. The client area provides power, reinstall, rescue and IPMI KVM controls. Managed administration may be available separately by request, depending on the required scope.
How quickly will the server be delivered?
Servers are normally delivered within 1 to 24 hours, except weekends. We contact you if the selected configuration is delayed or unavailable.
