How to Fix CentOS Disk Containing BIOS RAID metadata

May 29th, 2020

Hard Drives installation always make life difficult, given as follows: Disk sda(b,c) contains BIOS RAID metadata, but is not part of any recognized BIOS RAID sets Ignoring disk sda(b,c).

Feeling is that the hard drive is done before the raid, it does not recognize. How to do?

Run the ISO CentOS and Open the console using the Keys:

Ctrl + Alt + F2

Run the command “lsblk” to see the disk name. And then:

wipefs -af /dev/<DiskName>

Close the console:

Ctrl + Alt + F6

Then click in refresh disks on CentOS UI, and Done.
